Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) notified the Maine Attorney General on February 7, 2025, about a data breach that affected 882,782 individuals. The breach stemmed from a cyberattack that occurred between August 16 and August 27, 2023, which resulted in unauthorized access to files containing patients' and employees' personal and protected health information.
