SFR hit by new cyberattack, data of 3.6 million subscribers leaked

The French telecommunications operator SFR was reportedly hit by a new cyberattack on November 24, 2024, with the hacker collective Near2tlg claiming to have compromised the personal data of 3.6 million subscribers. The stolen data, including names, addresses, and phone numbers, was initially offered for sale for 500 euros in cryptocurrency but was later published for free after SFR denied the new attack. The attack reportedly exploited a vulnerability in SIBO360, an internal management software used by SFR. SFR, however, attributed the incident to a previous leak from September 2024.
